The ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Board of Trustees met March 19 on the Kent Campus for its regular quarterly meeting. Among its actions, the Board endorsed the Division of Academic Affairs’ plan for degree-granting colleges called Transformation 2028.

The ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Golden Flashes men's and women's basketball teams gave their fans nothing to be mad (angry) about this March! Both teams ended their exceptional regular season play and continued on to play in the Mid-America Conference Tournament at Cleveland's Rocket Arena. The men's team also went on to play in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). 

On Tuesday night, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Men's Basketball (23-10) tallied their first postseason win since the 2014-15 season, defeating St. Bonaventure University by a final score of 75-56. Four Flashes scored double-digits and Cli'Ron Hornbeak and Delrecco Gillespie tallied double-doubles.

Driven by ¹ú²úÂ×Àí students, a collaborative research initiative guided by Aimee Ward, Ph.D., addresses growing concerns about mid-block crossings on East Main Street and demonstrates the urgent need for safety improvements.

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:50 a.m. All ¹ú²úÂ×Àí campuses will be participating in this test.

The national trend of fully online enrollment has been decreasing since the pandemic, but ¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s online programs are bucking those trends. ¹ú²úÂ×Àí offers 90 fully online degree and certificate programs. The defending Mid-American Conference (MAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament champion is are one step closer to repeating its title run. No. 4 seed ¹ú²úÂ×Àí defeated No. 5 Miami University 68-61 in Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, securing its spot in the semifinals of the 2025 MAC Tournament.
